Branch-office Sloboština II
The branch-office Sloboština II is situated in the south of Zagreb, in the part of the town called Sloboština and is connected with the branch-office Sloboštna.
It was opened in September 2003. It owns 2500 square meters of space. The activities of the branch-office include occupational and psycho-social rehabilitation, health care, nourishment, stationary and weekly accommodation programs for adult persons with moderate, severe and profound mental retardation.
The new building of the branch-office was built for this specific purpose and it consists of seven residental units, with 6 wards in each, so the capacity of the building is 42 persons.
Along with the residental units to the wards, there are also programs for special therapies carried out as a part of psycho-social rehabilitation (sneezy room, room for the music therapy, room for sensory simulation, and horses for therapeutic riding).
in the branch-office Sloboština II there are four workshops (art, textile, ceramics, and candle-maker's workshop) for occupational therapy, psycho-social rehabilitation and organized free-time programs for adult persons with mental retardation.
The capacity of workshops is 60 persons, and the programs offered are half-day program and whole-day program activities.
Sloboština II ofers also possibility of occasional accomodation and residence of the wards and the service of counseling and prevention of institutionalization.
There are 44 employees, rehabilitators of all profiles (special educators, occupational therapists, social worker, psychologist, working instructor, nurses, physiotherapists, kinesitherapists, music therapist, therapeutic riding instructors) and tehnical staff.
The main characteristic of the work in this branch-office is individual approach to the ward and support of everyday living activities.
